ATOMS stands for "Aaron's 'Things of My Soul'". As such, this blog is a compilation of my spiritual thoughts and insights as I study the scriptures, pray in faith, and have daily experiences. These things are the symbolic atoms that make up my life, and are personal to me. With the belief that "there hath no temptation [or experience or trial or joy] taken [me], but such as is common to man" (1 Corinthians 10:13), I post them in the hope that they bless someone, somewhere, somehow. If it be one soul, my joy is full.

Please feel free to browse, to search, to comment, to correct false doctrine you find, and to let me know if they have been positively (or negatively) influential to you.

It is my prayer that we all sail the seas of life with happiness, and obtain the wonderful blessings that God has in store for us, including living with our righteous loved ones forever, the answers to every question in life, and eternal happiness.

My posts are not to be taken as the official doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are a reflection of my progressive learning and growing into said doctrine, though.

My Life is in God's Hands

"The standard of truth has been erected. No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing. Persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept eery country and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the great Jehovah shall say, the work is done."
Joseph Smith

The Kingdom of God on the earth will continue rolling forward, nothing can stop it. It is God's will and there is no telling Him otherwise.

His Kingdom is in His hands. It will succeed in its mission.

I had a profound thought this morning.

"My life is His work."

As much as I have heard it said in different ways in my life, it clicked to me this morning: "My life is His work."

I was walking up the stairs as I thought of it, and stopped walking as my mind and heart filled with light.

This is my logic for the morning:

"If God's work and glory is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of me (Moses 1:39), then rephrased, I am His work.

"And if I am His work, then He is in control of the tides and the waves of my life. He is in charge of the timing and the events that influence me.

"If I am His work, to bring to pass eternal life and exaltation, then there is no stopping Him. Only I would stop Him, but in no way would I ever try and stop Him. So I am destined to succeed!

"If I am His work, I will succeed!"

Of course, I must exercise faith and agency in pursuing His will for me. How comforting it is to know that I am a success story before the story has finished.

I believe it is the same for all of you.
